Cinderella - February 2022
We held our first performances in school since December 2019 when the student-led, delayed pantomime, Cinderella, was held on Monday 14th February. There were two performances at 4pm and 7pm with parents, students and staff joining the audience. Miss Oram and Mrs Shackell were very proud and happy to watch all the students perform again and amazed by the leadership skills demonstrated by the students.
We are also very excited to be launching the school show soon!
From the directors and producers: Maddy D, Alex S, Eve H, Freya MS and Katie L:
Working on the pantomime for us has been absolutely incredible, it’s something we never thought we’d be able to do, or that people would be interested in. Even going back to the very first interest meeting, we wondered how many people would even show up! When around sixty people did, we knew the show would be something special. From that day it bloomed into something so brilliant and memorable, for both us and the cast, and we are sad to see it pass. From when we started planning the show in June, to now, it’s all been amazing, and something so inspiring for us. Through finding costumes, teaching scenes and choreographing dances, we’ve made some very special and talented friends that we hope to see on the stage again in the summer show. Seeing the audiences in their seats on Monday was an experience like no other, and one that will be unforgettable. We are so thankful to everyone involved, we couldn’t have done it without them and they are what made it so special.
