General Travel Advice
Travel Abroad
The school will monitor the latest travel advice, including any destination country’s entry restrictions and/or requirements which may change with little warning, and will notify parents of the latest updates.
Parents are also advised to check the destination country’s Entry Requirements and Travel Abroad sections on the government website https://www.gov.uk/.
Required Travel Documents
A British Citizen’s Passport must be issued less than 10 years before entering the EU country and valid for at least 3 months after the day intended to leave. Other none - EU nationals might require a visa or proof of UK residency.
Information about travel documents required for non-EU nationals can be found on the European Commission website, including a list of the countries whose nationals are exempt from visa requirements for stays of 90 days or less.
eVisas
The UK Government is replacing physical immigration documents with eVisas, a digital proof of immigration status. Parents and guardians of children who are not British or Irish citizens, and whose children have either a biometric residence permit (BRP) card expiring on 31 December 2024, or a passport with an indefinite leave to remain ink stamp or vignette sticker, should take action to access their eVisa, and do so on behalf of their children too.
