Y8 Brooklands Innovation Academy - October 2024

On Tuesday 1st October 10 Year 8 students accompanied Mr Jones and Ms Wayman to Brooklands Motor museum for a STEM day filled with inspiring workshops and talks. Students were enthralled by an inspiring talk on cryptorgraphy and then were treated to a wonderful talk by Prof Brian Cox on Black holes and space and time. Students took part in a number of workshops challenging different aspects of Science and Engineering. The students were excellent ambassadors for Calthorpe and conducted themselves impeccably all day long. Their spirits continued to be high even when faced with a two hour delay on the return trip due to traffic congestion. All in an excellent day was had by all.
