Y10 Kew Gardens - September 2024

Braving the rain, we took our annual trip to Kew Gardens with our Year 10 Art Photography and Ceramics students. We were extremely impressed with the engagement of our students taking the time carefully observing and capturing the plant life through photography or detailed sketches. The students were also lucky enough to see the ‘light in to life’ sculptures surrounding the gardens and greenhouses by the artist, Marc Quinn. This bank of work will now help them through their current GCSE projects.

I went on a photography trip to Kew gardens, these two photos I have chosen are from my topic macro photography, I choose them for their vibrant colours.  My favourite place was the Princess of Wales Conservatory as the range of plants there was the best for my macro photography. I am proud of this shoot, it is one of my best.
