Rotary Chef Competition - December 2016
Year 10 GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition students - Jessica D (D07), Cathy S (S02) and Olivia T (K07) took part in the Rotary Chef competition on 1st December. Their task was to plan and prepare a healthy two-course meal for two people, costing just £10.
Our students were in competition against St Nicolas School and, as you can see from the photographics of the table layouts, our students did an amazing job. It was a very close call when it came to judging - students were under pressure and being judged for the whole of the two hours. Unfortunately we weren’t the winners of the competition this year but, as a school, we are incredibly proud of the achievements of everyone who took part.
Rotary presented us with a cheque for £100 to say thank you for hosting this event and this will be to be donated to the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice.
Well done to our Year 10 students, once again!
