Y7 Osmington Bay - May 2018
What another fantastic PGL residential trip! Ninety-four students and ten staff members visited Osmington Bay on a very sunny May weekend. On the journey down to the coast we spent a few hours exploring Monkey World in Wareham, where students were able to see many different apes and monkeys in this large rescue centre.
Highlights include the lemur sanctuary where we had to dodge the wandering lemur, and also the huge activity areas where students (and some teachers!) were able to test their own monkey skills!
On arrival, students had a quick tour of the centre at Osmington Bay PGL before a weekend packed with abseiling, zip-wiring, weathering the stomach churning Giant Swing and beach walking, not to mention a visit to the 2012 Olympic Sailing Park to engage in a Dragon Boat race!
A tiring, yet rewarding, time was had by all.
Calthorpe Park students were praised by the PGL staff for their high levels of participation, exemplary behaviour, not to mention their huge amounts of enthusiasm—we wouldn’t expect anything less!
