The Woman in Black - January 2020

On Wednesday 22nd January, the Drama Department took 151 students in Years 10 and 11 to The Fortune Theatre, London to see the chilling ghost play “The Woman in Black” written by Stephen Mallatratt.  The trip supports the learning of all aspects of the Drama GCSE course but particularly Component 1 “Understanding Drama”, which is the final written exam. This experience enhances the students’ knowledge and understanding of live theatre and the impact it has on an audience.  The trip is compulsory for Year 10 students and is an excellent revision opportunity for Year 11.  As always, the students were impeccably behaved and completely mesmerised by the excellent production.
