UKMT Maths Challenge - March 2022
We are once again thrilled with the uptake and results of the Intermediate UKMT Maths Challenge recently sat by some of our students.
This year saw an even greater number of students taking part and we are proud of each and every one of you. We were also delighted to have a very high percentage (67%) of students gain certificates with 55 Bronze, 33 Silver and 24 Golds. These are wonderful successes in a prestigious competition. 31 students were invited to take part in the follow on rounds and 26 took up the challenge. Very well done to those students! We are thrilled that they gained 8 Merit certificates in the Kangaroo round. Congratulations to James F and Sam K in year 9, Amy W in Year 10, TJ E. Lottie H, Lois W, Andre M and Michael S in year 11 for their achievements. Two students qualified for the highest round and we are still waiting for their results, very many congratulations to John S, year 8 and Harvey M, year 11 for gaining entry to the Olympiads.
We are looking forward to presenting the students with their certificates shortly.
Students in years 7 and 8 will get their chance to take part in the Junior challenge during April!
John S also submitted a solution to NRICH last month which you can see here.
