PE Update - March 2022
Cross Country – Congratulations to the Year 7 Boys team who became District Champions, several of the team went on to represent the District at the County Championships where they came 2nd. Two of our runners made the top 10 – Bobby S 7th and Arthur T 9th.
Basketball – The Year 8 Boys Basketball team have also made the District Final and remain unbeaten this season – they will play Weydon in the Final after Easter. Sadly, both the U14 boys and the U13 girls’ sides lost their respective semi finals.
Football – Congratulations to our Year 7 and 8 Teams who have both made it through to the District Cup Finals which will be played at Aldershot Town FC between 18th and 20th May. The Year 8 team are also in the Hampshire Cup Final where they will play Brookfield (Fareham), with the date and venue to be confirmed.
Our U16 girls team are awaiting to find out their opponents for their District Cup Semi Final. Hopefully they can join the boys’ teams in the final.
Several of our Year 8 and 9 boys’ teams will be representing the District in the National Finals at Stoke City on Friday 14th May:
Year 9 - Tom N, Ollie B, Hayden S, Chataika C, Jay M – they are the current National Champions so will be looking to retain the title they won last season.
Year 8 - Alex H, George D, Riley F, Ryan B, Shaun M, Jack S, Hayden P

Netball - we are very proud of the Year 7 teams this year who fought hard against some strong teams. As the season has progressed we have really shown our team spirit and enjoyed every game played!
Volleyball - volleyball club has been a huge success. The club has grown from just 10 pupils to over 35 every week! Thank you to all those who took part in the neon tournament at the end of March; it was a huge success and some fabulous outfits were worn! Well done to our Pink Flamingos finishing in first position
Internationals at CPS - Congratulations to two Year 11 students - Jack Hobkirk who has again been named in the England U16 Hockey Squad and Jack Henry who is part of the England U16 American Football squad.
