Book Fair - November/December 2024

We welcomed back the Scholastic Book Fair this term, with it running from 25 November to 5 December. We knew what fantastic support parents/ carers and students gave to it last year and we were not disappointed this year!

The Fair was open to students to come along and have a look/shop during break and lunchtimes, and both Years 7 and 8 visited during English lessons. It was lovely to watch the enjoyment at browsing a wealth of new books and the excitement from some students at ordering and purchasing some – it could well have been the perfect opportunity for some early Christmas shopping as well as encouraging reading for pleasure. The wonderful thing about ordering from the Book Fair is that, due to Scholastic’s Reward scheme, a percentage of the money made can go back into our school which can mean lots of fantastic new books for the library that will be chosen by the students.

After many, many book orders and plenty of stationery bought too, I am delighted to say that with over £1000 spent by you, this then means £500 worth of new books. This is amazing and all made totally possible because of your generosity and the support you give to the library. The students are already being asked what they would like to see in the library, and we will share our purchases with you next year.
