National STEM Awards - November 2016

The Calthorpe Park School STEM Club were honoured to be invited to the National STEM Inspiration Awards, a prestigious annual event held in the House of Lords. The awards recognise some of the thousands of people and organisations across the whole of the UK - from inspiring teachers and STEM Ambassadors, to innovative businesses and school leaders -  who are working to help young people aim for a bright and exiting future.

Mr Hainsworth, Joint Head of Technology and STEM Co-ordinator took four lucky members of STEM Club, Jack, Matt, Alfie and Arthur to present some of their recent projects to Lord Sainsbury and several other Lords and MPs who were in attendance.

We were thrilled when it was announced that our STEM Club was awarded second place in what is Britain's biggest and most well known STEM awards, although obviously slightly disappointed we didn't finish first!

Overall a lovely day out in a wonderful and inspiring location.
