WHAT TO EXPECT
This exciting science day is specifically aimed at GCSE Science students, giving an opportunity to see and hear five of Britain’s top scientists.
The scientists who are scheduled to speak at this event are:
- Professor Lord Robert Winston - medical doctor, distinguished scientist, particularly in the area of human fertility. He has the gift of being able to communicate in a most engaging way.
- Professor Andrea Sella - if ever there was a perfect chemistry lecture this is it. Not only does he speak beautifully about chemical processes, he uses chemicals on the stage to illustrate his ideas.
- Professor Jim Al-Khalili - his documentaries include Order and Disorder, Everything and Nothing, Chemistry: A Volatile History and Atom on the BBC and appeared in Channel 4’s Genius of Britain.
- Doctor Helen Czerski - physicist, oceanographer and broadcaster, based at University College London and is a presenter for the BBC.
- Doctor Hannah Critchlow - why are neuroscientists only able to properly probe consciousness now? And what are we yet to discover? Neuroscientist and author will take you on a voyage of conscious discovery.
