WHAT TO EXPECT
Students will have a guided tour of the Cathedral, learning about its history as an ancient site of pilgrimage and will have a great opportunity to participate in workshops led by the Winchester Cathedral Education Department.
Workshop No1 - Archaeology (60 min)
Using items hidden in trays of sand, the students act as archaeologists to find the items, draw them (as an archaeologist would record them) and decide what they may have been used for.
Workshop No2 - The Life of a Medieval Monk (60 min)
Dressed as a monk, the students take on roles that the monks would have had and spend time in role.
