Rail Safety Awareness Assemblies - February 2018

Students in Years 7 to 10 have been given a powerful message about rail safety from Network Rail during a series of assemblies this week. Marcia Burnett spoke to students about the dangers of trespassing on railway lines and how to keep safe with a reminder that rules are in place for a reason.

Each Year group was shown a video clip that presented the potential consequences of line trespassing through different scenarios based on real-life stories. The videos were thought-provoking and we hope the students have taken away the understanding that pausing to stop and think about their actions is crucial and potentially lifesaving. ​
