CPS Café Team win a prestigious Award - June 18

Congratulations to our Café Catering Team!

On Friday 22nd June, at the Brooklands Hotel in Weybridge, Pabulum held their annual conference Meet 2018. Each year they have a theme that encompasses everything about the day, this year it was “Building on Success”.

Our fantastic Café catering team were nominated and won the most prestigious accolade “Secondary School Catering Team of the Year”.

Pabulum has over 70 schools eligible for the award and the Calthorpe Park School catering team were chosen from over 140 nominations. As part of the citations read out at the event, Mr Amos said: “As a school, we are enormously proud of the “feel” of our school, it is something that visitors always comment on.  Even with the hurly-burly of trying to get hundreds of young people served, the Pabulum team reflect and add to that sense of the school.” As well as “Whatever the circumstances their can-do attitude shines through alongside efficiency and efficacy that is wonderful to behold.  They provide quality but always with a smile.”

Over the past year the catering team have reinvigorated the service, offering new additions at breakfast, break and lunchtime. We are all very excited as to what the next year holds in our ever-evolving good food journey. The award now sits proudly on the counter in the dining room reminding all of us that teamwork is very rewarding.
