Legally Blonde - July 23

We are still buzzing after the huge success of our production ‘Legally Blonde’!  The Drama department thrives on creating productions, and this year we created a show which really challenged us all, but it was well worth all the hard work!  It is always brave to ‘dare to go bigger’, but we knew we had an array of talent in the school, this was evident after the success of ‘Oliver!’ in 2022, but the Company really surpassed all our expectations! The entire Company gelled together remarkably well, and our Principals were an excellent example to other cast members; they came to rehearsals well-prepared and ready to work hard.

We created the show in fourteen weeks, this included rehearsing every lunchtime and five times a week after school and weekends.  During this time their commitment, stamina and dedication to the show never faltered.  A truly remarkable experience for us all to treasure.  We cannot wait to stage our next production in 2024.  I wonder what it will be…?!

Miss Oram

The Music Department was delighted to form a 19-piece band of staff and student musicians to provide the musical accompaniment to our show, Legally Blonde. The diverse and complex score is full of memorable songs, which we enjoyed rehearsing and playing over a number of weeks before they were ready to perform at our run of shows last week. We enjoyed the most beautiful singing, amazing acting and sublime playing, culminating in a last night we will remember. Everyone involved in Legally Blonde gave their all and enjoyed it immensely.
