Blood Brothers - January 2024

On Friday 19th January we took 100 Year 10 and Year 11 GCSE Drama students to see a performance of Willy Russell’s play ‘Blood Brothers’ at the New Victoria Theatre, Woking.  The students behaviour throughout the evening was excellent, even when standing in a very long line to get an ice cream during the interval. 

The students thoroughly enjoyed the evening, especially the musical numbers and comedic scenes in the play.  The students will now use the experience to help their understanding of “Blood Brothers” which is their Set Text for their final GCSE written exam.  A thoroughly enjoyable Friday evening which was made even better by not having to go into school early the next day! A big ‘thank you and well done’ to all the Year 10 and 11 Drama students and staff who gave up their Friday night to attend the trip.
