DT Workshops at London Museums - Jan/Feb 2025

On our recent school trip to London, 30 students had the opportunity to visit two fascinating museums: the Design Museum and the Museum of Brands. At the Design Museum, we participated in an engaging workshop focused on chair design. Students learned about different styles of chairs, their history, and the importance of ergonomics, before designing their own chairs using innovative materials. This hands-on experience sparked creativity and gave us insight into the world of industrial design.

Next, we visited the Museum of Brands, where we took part in a workshop that challenged us to think about the future of branding. Students worked in groups to rebrand existing products, considering how technology and sustainability might influence future designs. The trip provided a unique opportunity to explore design and branding in a real-world context, inspiring students to think critically about the impact of design on society. It was a memorable and educational experience for everyone involved.
